Replying To Blog Comments

WALT: Create a DLO about how to reply to blog comments. I enjoyed doing this because I got to learn new things.

Division

WALT: I am learning to solve division problem by changing them to simpler problems that have the same answer. I enjoyed doing this because to got to learn new strategies.

Coding

WALT: Create a cross on turtle academy using prior knowledge of coding instructions. I enjoyed doing this because to go to learn something new.

Show Not Tell

WALT: Use show not tell in our writing. Our task was to write two paragraphs about a moment in time with the picture we have been given to write about. Next time I will add more detail.

The Man

As the frosty wind rattles the wooden hut the sound of branches brushing against the window. The man collapses with exhaustion and sends shivers down his spin. He lies with his back to the frosty cold wall then closes his eyes, and listens to the ecos making their way through the hut.

The man starts to tremble as the sound of raindrops cascading down the window pichs up more and more volume. Every raindrop that falls the more ecos making their way to the man. Suddenly the moon is revealed and shines through the window and onto the man revealing him.

B.E.D.M.A.S Board Game

    W.A.L.T.... Identify the order of operations of BEDMAS

Our task was to create a board game with a buddy using BEDMAS. 

What I found hard to do was to come up with the equations.

  

Endangered Animals

WALT: Create a DLO about what does an endangered animal mean. I enjoyed doing this activity because I got to learn new facts about my endangered animal. Next time I will add more detail.

   

Ramadan

WALT: Identify customs and traditions associated with different cultures. We needed to do five interesting facts about Ramadan. I enjoyed doing this because I got to learn new information about Ramadan.

Spreading The Joy

When Ramadan begins people spread the joy by greeting each other by saying Ramadan Mubarak.

Complete Focus On God

The Ramadan days begin with Prayers and end with Prayers. The people give up food and water during the daylight hours. They only have food twice a day. The meal before sunrise is called the Suhoor and the meal before sunset is called Iftar

The Pretty Lanterns Of Egypt

The lanterns of Ramadan are one of the most beautiful sights in Egypt. According to Legend in year 969 the Egyptians welcomed Caliph Eddin Allah to Cairo by lighting hundreds of lanterns. Now the the Tradition has continued and is a part of Ramadan celebration.

A Treat For The Young Ones

On the 14th day of Ramadan it is celebrated by Garangao. Garangao is a Traditional children’s party. One this day they reward the children of making a great effort in Fasting half way through the Holy Month. They sing songs, say Prayers and dress up in Traditional clothes. They reward the children with nuts and sweets.

The Ramadan Drummer

The Mesaharaty’s job is to walk through the streets every morning while playing the drum and singing Holy Songs to wake people up to have their final meal before the Fast begins. This Tradition has continued today.

Feast Of The Ascension

WALT: Explain what the Church celebrates on The Feast Of The Ascension. We had to create four interconnecting symbols that illustrate what the Ascension celebrates concerning Jesus. I enjoyed doing this because I got to create my own images.
